Bracelet with gemstone faceted beads and seed beads
This bracelet can be made with a very easy technique, it's just a matter of keeping repeating it until you get the desired length. This way you can make a bracelet, but also a very nice ring. It is also very nice to vary with colors and beads, this way you get a different look each time.
Used materials
Gemstone beads 3mm we used Faceted tourmaline 3mm
Miyuki Rocailles 11/0 - Duracoat Galvanized Gold
KO beading wire
Beading needle 0.46mm
Stainless steel lobster clasp
Stainless steel jumpring 6mm
How to make
You start by cutting a piece of beading wire thread, about a meter is definitely enough. Then you thread 4 faceted beads onto your thread, letting them continue to the end of your beading wire thread. And then go through it again with your needle starting with the faceted bead you threaded first. (As shown in drawing 1)
Then you pull on that thread and you will see that the beads will be in a square against each other (drawing 2).
Next you take your needle through the faceted bead that is to the left of the bead your thread is now coming out of. When you have done that you pick up your first seed bead, and go through the next faceted bead. Again you pick up a seed bead, and go through the next faceted bead again. You keep doing this until your needle comes out to the left of a rocaille. (drawing 3)
Then again you pick up 4 faceted beads and go through the same seed bead where your thread comes out, when you have done this you pull the thread and see that the faceted beads come back together as a square. (drawing 4)
Repeat the same step as in drawing 3, first through a faceted bead, then pick up a seed bead and through the next faceted bead (drawing 5).
You keep repeating this until you reach the desired length of your bracelet.
Then you are going to finish the bracelet by tying a knot in the beading wire thread and working it away into a bead.
At least you are going to make the clasp onto the bracelet with jumprings.
