How To Upgrade A Cable Bracelet with Macramecord

A cable bracelet with a twist! It is super easy to make this bracelet very colorful with our wide range of Macrame and waxed cord.

Start by cutting the macrame and waxed cord at about 30cm. You will need 2 strands of waxed cord and 3 strands of macrame cord. Knot the ends together and use something to attach your bracelet to. We used a penholder/cup and hooked the clasp and knots trough the holes. This will make it easier to 'braid' your items. You can also tape the chain and cords to the table. Measure how long your cable bracelet needs to be, by using you wrist. It is probably too long, but each link is easy to open and remove.

NOTE: To make it easier to threat the cords trough the links, you can tape the ends of the macrame cord together by using some tape. This will function as a needle. You can also do this to the waxed cord.
Start by threading both of the waxed cord strands through the first link. Do so by going from the back of the bracelet, through the link till you are at the front again. Pull tight and grab the 3 macrame strands. Go over the waxed cord and under the bracelet. Then go again from the back of the bracelet through the next link and back to the front. Pull tight again and repeat this process (the braiding) till your bracelet is finished.

When you are at the last link, knot the macrame and waxed cord together with one knot. Cut the excess and glue the endcap over the knot and the last link. Use enough glue and repeat this on the other side after you removed the clasp by opening the jumpring (we will use this later). Let the endcaps dry over night. When the glue is dry you can attach the clasp and the extension to the endcaps with the jumprings from the bracelet. Now the bracelet is ready to wear!
