Satin Cord Necklace with Gemstone Beads & Charms

This necklace is different from what you are used to: satin cord on both sides, with the natural beauty of gemstone beads and charms in the middle. You don't have to be a jewelry expert because this necklace is very simple to make yourself but the result looks super stylish and unique, before you know it you will be wearing your own creation!

Step-By-Step:

Step 1: Prepare Satin Cord

Cut approximately 60 cm of satin cord.
Fold it in half and glue both ends together into one end cap. Let dry thoroughly.
Attach the lobster clasp with a ring to the eyelet of the end cap.

Step 2: The copper wire

Cut a piece of gold-colored copper wire about 20 cm long.
Use the round-nosed pliers to bend a small, neat eye on one end. This will be the attachment point to the satin cord.
Fold the copper wire over the satin cord where the satin cord is "folded" and twist the copper wire around itself to create an eyelet.

Step 3: Thread gemstone beads & charms

Thread a gemstone bead onto the wire.
Then a charm, then another gemstone bead, and so on.
Make sure the charms are distributed symmetrically: 5 on each side, and 1 eye-catching charm right in the middle, creating a playful effect.

Step 4: Making the second eye

Once everything is threaded on, fold the satin cord in half again on the other side and bend an eyelet around the satin cord on the end of the copper wire with your roundnosed pliers.

Step 5: Finishing

Take the satin cord and glue both ends together into one end cap. Let dry thoroughly again.
Attach a ring to the eyelet of the end cap.
Hang an extension chain from the ring so you can decide how long or short you want to wear the necklace.
